AI For Sales Trailer #2 With Rob Wood
Rob Wood, VP Of Sales, Shares His Experience With AI For Sales
I'm here with Rob Wood, VP of Sales from ClicData. The first question I have for you, Rob, is what was the number one obstacle that would have prevented you from buying ScaleX? We're all around AI, but we don't realize it. We spend our consumer life whether that's on your iPhone, Alexa or Siri. In business, sometimes we've all been burned, especially we're longer in the tooth than most and we sometimes realize what we've made mistakes on. It gives us a little apprehension. Taking that first step is difficult, but it's rewarding. What did you find as a result of buying AI For Sales and deploying artificial intelligence at ClicData?[bctt tweet="Taking the first step to use AI is difficult, but it's rewarding." via="no"]The biggest thing was augmentation. We've been in business for years. We're a European-based company. What it comes down to is, “Do I want to spend $4,000 to $7,000 a month on a couple of BDRs or I can deploy your solution?” What if your solution didn't work for me? It's easier for me to call you up and say, “Chad, we're not going to do this again.” If I have 1 or 2 BDRs I’ve got to fire, that becomes heart-wrenching. That's also costly. There's also litigation. It's easier to make a mistake with AI than it is to make a mistake with a human.I heard at a conference, one of the managers who worked for Bezos directly said exactly the same thing. He said, “Bezos pushes the entire team to say, ‘Go where you've never gone before, but make sure you have a path back.’” That's what you're talking about. What was the specific feature that you liked most about the platform?Rate tools, the ability to augment. I will say that you sold me on a product, but your staff has kept me up. Maybe you decide it doesn’t work. Maybe you started second-guessing. I know that it's easier for me to call one of the people on your group and say, “I don't want to do that anymore. I changed my mind.” Being able to be nimble and cost-effective is what you're offering.[caption id="attachment_3130" align="aligncenter" width="600"]
AI For Sales: It can take a while to figure out and decide whether using AI for sales and social selling is a good expenditure for you.[/caption]Let's talk about the outcomes, the business results that you've seen from AI For Sales. Tell us about the reply rates that you got from the social outreach. We're talking about reply rates. It's 55% to 56% of our outreach we got a reply on.Would you recommend the product to other people that are thinking about AI For Sales and social selling?[bctt tweet="Using AI for sales can net you get up to 55% more replies to outreach." via="no"]I would because it's a cost that takes you three months to understand whether or not it was a good expenditure. Whether you feel someone who wants to go beyond what they spent with you and beyond that commitment, they're going to have still all this information to know which direction you go, how to steer that. What do you think about the templates that come within the application? We as people tend to want to put our fingerprint. Some of us may do more features and functions. Some of us are benefit sellers.[caption id="attachment_3131" align="aligncenter" width="600"]
AI For Sales: You immediately can change it and you see those changes impacted negatively or
positively within days.[/caption]When we first started, we did the full template. I'm going to believe you. One of your guys that helped with the onboarding, “Let's try this.” What's great about it in 5 to 10 days, you know whether or not you need to tweak stuff. You immediately can change it and you see those changes impacted negatively or positively within days. Thanks for joining. We will catch you next time. Cheers.
