11 Keys to My Success, and the 7 Scary Moments on the Way, with Rich Litvin

Today, on the pre-Intensive call with Rich and several of the attendees, Rich shared his 11 secrets for success. It's our job to figure out what are our 11 steps to success. Here goes.
- "Saying yes before I was ready" - Booked a flight from London to the US, when I really didn't have the money to spend.
- Taking imperfect action - Get to 50% or 80%, then go, don't wait until 100% ready!
- Joining Communities - take on leadership before given the role
- Writing (or video)
- Volunteering for Leadership
- 1+1 = 11 relationship
- Collecting "No's" - The game to play is to do the deep work on your ability to be ok seeing the "No's!". NO means "Next One".
- Making mistakes - screw up, make mistakes, fall on your face. What was the best part, challenging part, what are you grateful for, what mistakes did you make?
- Being messy. It's ok to be messy. When rolling out "4PC", the speech was flubbed, yet people signed up. "I trust you Rich".
- Create communities.
7 Scary Moments on the Journey:
- Made a bold request of Steve Chandler, the co-author of the book. Steve wrote back and said "no".
- Why don't you just go create the clients first! Make the money first! Scary, but was the safe way to go.
- Bay area - met amazing coaches. Most were broke or going paycheck to paycheck. Learned what it was like to write a big check.
- Steve was Rich's coach for $150,000. Wow. That's a big number. Find a way to get there when you want to do something.
- After father passed away, he had no energy to create new clients. It took 9 months to come back.
- 2017 - Burned out.
- Then it turned around started to make great money. Challenge - the more I made the more I spent. Challenging time - with credit card debt.
In a 1:1 coaching with one of the attendees who just lost her job a few days ago, here's what Rich suggested for her speech she was giving to a rather large audience today:
What most people know about me is. Track record, help people close $50k deals, etc.
What most people don't know about me is that 11 years ago, I wasn't happy. I was on the phone with a specialist who helped understand me, and as a result, I got on the phone with someone and flew 1000 miles. I was able to lose 115 pounds and keep it off - it changed my life.
Vulnerability is a superpower.
What I really don't want you to know about me is this. I was let go of my job two days ago, there is a part of me that is glad that it happened, but I'm still grieving. How many of you have ever been let go from a job? Or working towards something, and your legs were cut out from you.
